You don’t have to go somewhere fancy or luxurious in Upstate New York to bump into someone famous.

Sometimes a celebrity might stop by Wegmans after a performance or dine at a local pizzeria.

Last year, fans spotted more than 20 actors, actresses, and musicians in Upstate NY.

Here are the famous folks who have checked out our neck of the woods so far.

Gwen Stefani stirred up excitement in Upstate New York when she was spotted in August at the Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville.

The former No Doubt singer took her three kids to see the famous April the Giraffe in August while visiting the Southern Tier with her boyfriend, Blake Shelton.

Bill Murray and Selena Gomez.

Jim Jarmusch’s zombie comedy, “The Dead Don’t Die,” was shot in various locations around Ulster and Delaware Counties, including the Village of Fleischmanns and in Kingston.

Local residents caught a glimpse of Bill Murray and Selena Gomez around town in August.

“Saturday Night Live” actor Pete Davidson was pulled over and a passenger was charged with having marijuana, according to an arrest report from Manlius police.

Manlius police made contact with the pair around 4:25 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11 on Salt Springs Road in Fayetteville.

ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith stopped at a Syracuse restaurant in August.

Prime Steak House posted a photo of Smith having dinner with a former colleague, Syracuse University Athletic Director John Wildhack, and restaurant owner Dan Klamm.

“Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson was in Syracuse filming a new movie, and he brought along his fiancee Ariana Grande.

Jerry Seinfeld stopped in Apizza Regionale in Syracuse for lunch in June before his performance at the Landmark Theatre.

Seinfeld ordered the verdure mista salad and the Calabrian pizza.

In June, former New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi stopped by DeFazio’s Pizzeria in Troy and visited Troy firefighters at Station 4.

Girardi was in the Capital Region urging Albany lawmakers to legalize sports betting in New York but in a way that “protects the integrity” of professional baseball.

Actor Jon Heder dined at Sato Brewpub in Buffalo for some katsu and curry.

Heder, known for his role in “Napoleon Dynamite,” appeared at the Nickel City Con in Buffalo in May.

The Fox News TV personality and his brother were boating along the full length of the Erie Canal. They stopped for breakfast at the B’ville Diner in Baldwinsville.

Syracuse native Post Malone dined at Dinosaur BBQ before his only Upstate New York show this year at Darien Lake in May.

Malone lived in Central New York until he was 10, when his family moved to Texas.

Superstar comedian Kevin Hart performed in Buffalo during his “Irresponsible Tour,” in May.

He took a detour after the show for a trip to Niagara Falls and brought his social media followers along for the ride.

An Uber driver from Upstate NY received a nice tip and good company when he drove comedian Joel McHale from Rochester to New York City in April.

McHale had performed at Alfred University and Ithaca College. His flight from Rochester got canceled, but he needed to get to Manhattan in time for his appearance on “The Tonight Show,” so he took Uber.

William Shatner.

Former Star Trek star William Shatner found time between visits to Schenectady and Rochester to stop at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Syracuse in April.

Shatner visited the two cities to discuss his life and career and sit through screenings of “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.”
